To provide the operator with full control, this blender features a variable speed mechanism that allows you to adjust the rate with which you're whipping or emulsifying your products with an easy turn of the dial on the handle. This makes it convenient and user friendly to adjust to the perfect speed while blending your product without any trouble.
For user safety, the unit requires two buttons to be pressed to start the unit, but once running the enable button can be released and the unit is controlled just using the power button.
This unit also includes a lock button for continuous, hands-free operation. With this button, you can mix, blend, and puree your foods without holding down the power button.
You can easily adjust the speed of the unit from the handle for a convenient, user-friendly experience. The cooling fans on the housing ensure that this unit will stand up in your commercial kitchen without overheating.
The blending shaft easily detaches from the base so that it can easily be cleaned and stored efficiently; hand washing is recommended. This also makes it easy to switch and swap to a different size blending shaft or whisk attachment (sold separately). This unit design makes cleaning up at the end of a long night a quick and effortless task. A 120V electrical connection is required for operation.

So far I have used it a couple of times. It's easy to use and lighter compared to the larger HP model. The hold button on this model helps a lot. The price is much lower compared to competitors with similar features. Noise level is acceptable but still loud.

I have been using this immersion blender for 18 months and it's a work horse. It never overheats, and blends through tough foods, frozen items, etc. My only gripe: screwing on the blending shaft is not smooth, I often have to rotate it and try various times. Also, the rubber gasket is slowly fraying. But all in all, fully functional after 18 months of regular use.

16 inch sounds plenty big for our needs, but once you get it, you see the blade marked for maximum submersible at like 7 or 8 inches. I wish i would have just got the 21 inch blade. Now I'm worried i cannot blend my sauces in the larger bucket...
