It features three speed settings ranging from 15,000 to 26,000 RPM, and the timer can be set in increments of 30 seconds up to 15 minutes. You can blend two ways, using either a time and a speed setting, or if you prefer to blend by sight simply choose a speed and let your blender work until you've reached the desired consistency. And if you will be making the same recipe repeatedly, this blender makes it easy with a one-touch start feature that repeats the most recent time and speed settings with a single press of the "Start" button. When you need a quick burst of power to finish off a recipe or clear the blade area, it also has a convenient pulse button to throttle the unit on "High" speed.

A 2-piece lid lets you add ingredients to the blender at any stage in the mixing process - simply remove the clear center lid and use the included tamper to push the add-ins down.
The 64 oz. BPA-free Tritan™ plastic jar design provides maximum durability while allowing this model to handle large volume blending. For added convenience, the jar pad is dishwasher safe, but the jar should be washed by hand for maximum product life.

THIS IS A CONTENDER NOT A PRETENDER Pros: Easy to learn, Addl. Blender Jar is like almost having another blender, The controls are logical, 25,000 is the highest speed and it is the one that you need for crushing ice, the timer function with auto memory is great (I keep it set at 30 seconds) and for what we do it never takes 30 seconds. If you use it to make shakes they will readily pour from the jar, but if you are a smoothie maker, you have to use a spatula to get it out of the jar. Odd Things I didn't Expect: The 3.5 hp motor is so powerful, that I had some styrofoam containers about 18" from where the back of the Blender was, and it blows so much air out the back that it toppled the stacks of containers, so give it some clearance. The tamper we have not used it yet. Noise, at the highest speed its not quiet, but I just look at it as a time that I can ignore everything and everyone (LOL, but true). Cons: If u have a picky inspector that wants everything to be NSF, this blender nor the jars are NSF, but really that should be a non issue, because it does the job, and as a consumer we would probably be paying quite a bit more if they had to also cover the cost of getting that little sticker.

We've been using our blender moderately for about 4 months now and have had no problems. It's winter though. We'll see how it holds up during the summer and edit the review if needed. This blender makes a smoothie in 10 seconds! Literally!
